Dr. Segun Afolabi
Assistant Professor
Dr. Segun Afolabi joined the University of Regina in July 2024 with over 20 years experience in teaching, research and educational administration. His research interests focus on professional translators/interpreters training, theory and history of translation, translation policies, CAT tools, neural machine translation, FLE/FLS pedagogy, bilingualism, French for Special Purposes (FSP), languages for sustainable development, and education in a migration context.
Professionally, he is a certified translator and member of the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ) as well as the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Saskatchewan (ATIS).
