La Cité Congratulates the Spring 2025 Graduates: A Proud Moment of Celebration and Achievement
La Cité universitaire francophone (La Cité) proudly congratulates the students who graduated during the University of Regina’s Spring 2025 Convocation. During the morning ceremony on Friday, June 13, La Cité’s community came together to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating class. This spring, 60 students crossed the stage to receive their degrees and certificates in French and Francophone Intercultural Studies, French as a Second Language, Education, and Nursing.
- Francophone and Intercultural Studies (22 graduates):
o Master of Arts: 4
o Bachelor of Arts: 13
o Certificate in French as a Second Language: 5 - Education (33 graduates):
o Bachelor of Education: 31
o Master of Education: 2 - Bilingual Nursing option: 5
“Dear graduates, you have demonstrated exceptional perseverance, academic excellence, and a deep commitment to the French language and francophone cultures. Your success today is not only a personal achievement; it contributes to the vitality of our communities and the advancement of bilingualism in Canada. On behalf of all of us at La Cité, congratulations! We are proud of you and excited to see all that you will accomplish,” said Dr. Sophie Gaudet, Dean of La Cité universitaire francophone.
As our graduates take their next steps, whether in further studies, professional fields, or community leadership, we celebrate not only their academic achievements but also their contributions to the Francophone landscape in Saskatchewan, Canada, and beyond. We are immensely proud of our 2025 cohort and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to make in the world.
