Program Overview

The FMCSP at the University of Regina enables you to:

  • Apply through a Participating Designated Learning Institution (DLI): We are one of the approved DLIs under this pilot program.
  • Meet Specific Eligibility Requirements: You must obtain a valid Letter of Acceptance from our institution, provide French language test results (TEF Canada or TCF Canada, level 5 or higher), and demonstrate financial capacity.
  • Access Financial & Living Expense Guidelines: The financial requirements are based on the community where our main campus is located (Regina is classified as Group B—please refer to official guidelines for details).
  • Receive Comprehensive Support: We assist you in preparing your study permit application, guide you through the documentation process, and ensure your Letter of Acceptance meets FMCSP standards.

Eligibility & Application Process

To apply for a study permit under FMCSP through the University of Regina, you must:

  1. Apply to a Program:
    • Choose an eligible full-time program offered by the University of Regina.
    • Clearly indicate your interest in the FMCSP when you submit your application.
  2. Obtain a Letter of Acceptance:
    • Upon admission, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance stating your entry under the FMCSP and confirming that your program meets all requirements.
    • Make sure to upload the LOA in the designated section of your study permit application.
  3. Submit Your Study Permit Application:
    • Include your LOA, valid French language test results, and proof of financial capacity (covering tuition, travel, and living expenses).
    • Follow the IRCC guidelines for online application submission.

Financial Requirements

  • Tuition Fees: You must be able to cover the full tuition for your first year at the University of Regina.
  • Living Expenses: The required amount is based on the community where our main campus is located; Regina is classified as Group B (population between 100,000 and 499,999).
  • Travel Expenses: You must also show proof of funds to cover your travel costs to Canada.
