French and Francophone Intercultural Studies Program – La Cité

Bachelor of Arts in French and Francophone Intercultural Studies (BA)

Study the French language and discover the culture of many Francophone regions and countries

Certificate in French and Francophone Intercultural Studies

A flexible option for students in all disciplines who have an intermediate or advanced level of French

Certificate in French as a Second Language

A 30-credit program over two terms allowing you to attain a strong intermediate level in spoken and written French

Minor in French

Benefit from the choice of two possible minors: French and Francophone Intercultural Studies and French as a second language

Bilingual Minor in African Studies

The Bilingual Minor in African Studies introduces students to African history, culture, politics, and social realities and allows students to develop intercultural understanding, critical thinking, and communication skills in French and English. The program consists of two required courses and four electives. A study abroad option in Francophone Africa is offered every two years.
